As I had written last week, I did indeed to to SolarFest – despite having pneumonia. Propped up by 40mg of prednisone a day, 1,000mg of clarithromycin daily, and a whole lot of Musinex-D, Jordan, Laura and I packed up my CR-V and headed to Vermont. SolarFest was…amazing. I went to some great workshops [...] I spent most of my vacation last week trying to ignore the fact that I was, indeed, quite sick. I finally got my aunt to call in a scrip for me – she’s a doctor, and decided I had a sinus infection (I thought so too, though I mentioned I thought it was bronchitis [...] Happy 4th of July from sunny Las Vegas. Worst 4th of July, Ever: I was about 3 or 4. We went down to the Jupiter Inlet for fireworks as usual, and as usual people in the parking lot were drunk and rowdy. One especially drunk and especially rowdy fellow decided to set off some fireworks of [...] The True Colors Tour* was quite possibly the best concert I’ve ever been to see. No, it WAS the best damn concert I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to quite a few concerts. Carson Kressley (famous from “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”) was the M.C., Rosie O’Donnell did stand up (as well [...] After suffering through the hottest days we have experienced in Connecticut in quite some time (105 degrees!!) I decided to leave work a little early today to go to the spa. I jumped in the truck and plugged in the GPS unit my parents gave me for my recent birthday, and typed in “spa.” [...] |
