So for the first time I have voted in a presidential election (this was my 3rd for those of you math-challenged) the person for whom I voted actually won! I made my site orange for the holiday. I think I like it this way; we’ll keep it, for now. edit: I changed it already. The background photo is one I took at Red Rocks in Nevada. So begins this series of blog postings entitled “The eX-Files.” I will be calling everyone either by A) the [...] In defense of all telemarketers, *I* worked for the Podunk Police Dept. as a telemarketer selling Circus tickets…for $5.15/hr, from 5pm-9pm weeknights. It’s a terrible job and people are incredibly rude to you – cussing you out, threatening you and your family, etc. – because you won’t take “no” as an answer. Well, FYI, we [...] Well, this was an excellent weekend! What did I do that was so fantastic, you may be wondering? 1. I did not travel anywhere. Amazing, I know, and normally I love travel, but I’ve been a homebody lately what with sick cats, and considering I went 3 months without seeing my house on the weekends, it’s [...] This weekend was probably one of the best I’ve had in awhile – despite my camping trip being called off. Saturday was gorgeous, and I opened all the windows and cleaned my house, went on a nice bike ride, and played a few hours of WoW. I made curry for dinner – homemade [...] So since my last post about being sick, I’ve been keeping a low profile. Well, a low profile for me…I’m not exactly low profile gal. Last Monday was Ploman’s birthday, so Tuesday found us up at Haven for dancing and stompy-stomp music. It happened to be their yearly Luau party, so there were a lot of [...] Last night Ploman and I headed to downtown Hartford (where parking is always a bitch) and after driving around the block a few times, attempting to find a spot close to McKinnon’s, I noticed a spot just big enough that I could squeeze in and still leave the appropriate 3-foot gap for the fire hydrant. [...] It’s been a busy past few weeks. This weekend will be the first I will be home in five – first two away I was in Las Vegas, then I was in Vermont, then New Hampshire, then DC, and finally this weekend – East Hartford.
