Change is possible, says the liberal

People like to say “liberal” like it’s a dirty word. My mum claims being liberal is “a badge of honor these days.” I tend to agree.

For the past year I have been so IN YOUR FACE about my politics with my republican friends, it’s amazing I have any left. I’ve harangued, harassed, and harped on them about their politics, what it actually means, what they actually believe in, and what the candidates really stand for until no one wants to even bring up any kind of politics (or anything that might possibly lead back to politics) with me.

And two of my friends – staunch republicans – are now voting for Obama.

Now, if I can change someone’s mind – and I have all the political grace of a dump truck when it comes to expressing my opinion – just think of what you diplomatic folks can do!

    Change is possible.
